About Da Hong Pao

Chinese tea can be classified into six categories according to the color of tea leaves: the green tea, the black tea, the white tea, the yellow tea, the dark tea, and the Oolong tea. Also, Chinese Oolong tea can be divided into Oolong of North Fujian, Oolong of South Fujian, Fenghuang Dancong Tea of Canton, and Tung-ting Tea of Taiwan. Wuyi Rock Tea is the representative of Oolong of North Fujian, and Da Hong Pao is the most famous among them. As the head of four famous kinds of Wuyi Rock Tea, Da Hong Pao has the most complicated process. It is semi-fermented, mellow as the black tea and fragrant as the green tea
